As you probably know, RETS is the open standard for transferring MLS data from computer to computer. A RETS client is a software program that can accept MLS data from a RETS server. Obviously, with a dataset as complicated as MLS, clean communications between a RETS server and a RETS client is not a foregone conclusion by any means. MLS data also varies a great deal; some data fields in the MLS database are ignored in some regions, carefully maintained in others and used for different data in yet others.
